For generations, the iconic Balboa Park Botanical Building has welcomed visitors with lush plant collections and a sense of calm in the heart of the city. This December, one year after the completion of the building’s historic restoration, Forever Balboa Park is proud to host the holidays like never before.

Beginning Friday, December 12, and running Thursday through Sunday evenings during the month of December, the Botanical Building will transform into a Botanical Wonderland. Enjoy festive lights, plants, and warm winter treats as you stroll San Diego’s iconic landmark, also featuring live performances from local musicians, including Emmy Nominated Darion James and more!

A Holiday Experience Rooted in Care

At Forever Balboa Park, we are dedicated to preserving, protecting, and enhancing the Park’s most treasured spaces. Proceeds from our suggested $5 contribution will help us continue to care for 20+ gardens throughout Balboa Park, 17,000+ trees, and our hundreds of volunteers.

This year’s Botanical Wonderland features a stunning display of nearly 700 poinsettias, lovingly arranged by staff and volunteers throughout the building’s interior — a gift to families, couples, and longtime park lovers to share in the joy of the season.
