Forever Balboa Park has planted 800+ trees in the park, and those young trees need some TLC!

Tree Maintenance Stewards help maintain and support the growth of young trees in Balboa Park. Stewards are trained to identify common tree species around Balboa Park, monitor tree health, and maintain trees by removing encroaching weeds and grasses, watering, and mulching.

Tree Maintenance Stewards meet twice monthly to support young trees as they grow and establish, performing the hands-on work the trees require to flourish. Volunteers work in the West, Central, and East mesas, from Morley Field to Marston Point, making a lasting impact on the landscape of Balboa Park.
