With the recent departure of Forever Balboa Park’s President and CEO, the organization is pleased to announce that two esteemed members of our leadership team, Jackie Higgins and Phillip Sammuli, are stepping up as Interim Co-CEOs.
Jackie Higgins: Champion of Botanical Beauty and Urban Forestry
Jackie Higgins, who currently serves as VP of Planning, has been a vital force at Forever Balboa Park. Her visionary work on the Botanical Building and Gardens Revitalization project has transformed our gardens and urban forest, creating beautiful and sustainable green spaces for everyone to enjoy. Her leadership has been instrumental in numerous other projects aimed at enhancing the park’s natural beauty and environmental health.
Phillip Sammuli: Builder of Partnerships and Community Support
Joining Forever Balboa Park last summer as VP of Institutional Advancement, Phillip Sammuli has quickly become a key player in our mission. He has been pivotal in fostering partnerships and securing vital support for our initiatives, ensuring that our projects receive the necessary funding and community backing to succeed. Phillip’s efforts have strengthened our ties with local organizations and enhanced our outreach efforts.
