Brent Woods – A Leader in Finance and Philanthropy

Brent V. Woods, former CEO of Brandes Investment Partners and current Executive Director at Brandes’ parent company, brings extensive expertise in investment management and ESG initiatives. A dedicated supporter of Balboa Park, Brent has been a major donor to the Botanical Building campaign since 2016. His academic background includes degrees from Princeton, Cambridge, and Harvard Law. Brent’s leadership will be instrumental as we move forward with key initiatives.

Brian Matthews – Advocate for Community and the Arts

Brian Matthews, CEO of The Matthews Company, has been an active and passionate supporter of Forever Balboa Park for years. He has played a key role in securing performers for major events like the Carousel and sPARK Awards and has a long history of community involvement. Brian’s family helped establish the MLK Parade, and he has volunteered his time for numerous FBP initiatives. His deep commitment to Balboa Park makes him a valuable addition to the board.
