Welcoming Three New Leaders to Our Board of Trustees

Forever Balboa Park is excited to welcome three outstanding new members to our Board of Trustees: Michael Glass, Warren Gorowitz, and Matt McCormick. Each brings unique expertise, passion, and commitment to stewardship that will help shape the future of Balboa Park for generations to come.

🌟 Michael Glass

A leader and member of the Talent community for more than 3 decades, Michael Glass is currently the Vice President, Global Talent at Resmed. In this capacity, he is responsible for overseeing global talent across the full colleague lifecycle for ResMed’s colleagues worldwide.

Prior to joining ResMed, Michael led Global Talent for Thermo Fisher Scientific, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Liberty Mutual’s Commercial Markets arm. He also spent 17 years at Fidelity Investments where he was responsible for the company’s Large Market Benefits Consulting business as well as numerous Global Talent and Training functions.

In addition to joining the Board of Trustees at Forever Balboa Park, Michael is on the Providence Children Museum’s Board of Overseers and is a former Board Member for the Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough, Massachusetts. He holds a B.A. from Union College and an M.Ed in Instructional Design from the University of Massachusetts.

🌳 Matt McCormick

Matt McCormick is Vice President of Strategic Growth at Kimley-Horn—a national engineering, planning, and design consulting firm—where he leads operations, finance, and business development. His leadership has significantly helped Kimley-Horn’s operations grow to 15 offices and more than 800 professionals across California. A licensed civil engineer with 25 years of experience, Matt has guided major infrastructure, civic, and military projects throughout the U.S. and abroad.

Matt’s interest in parks and public spaces developed at an early age, influenced by his father, a horticulturist, as well as his formative experiences in Denver’s Cheesman and Washington Parks. He brings deep expertise in environmental permitting, public-private partnerships, and strategic planning—skills he is eager to contribute to Forever Balboa Park’s mission of sustainability, stewardship, and community engagement.

💧 Warren Gorowitz

Warren S. Gorowitz is a distinguished leader in the landscape and irrigation industry with over 30 years of experience, currently serving as the Director of Sustainability and Social Impact at Hunter Industries. In this role, he leads the company’s global sustainability strategy, overseeing initiatives such as the Climate Action Plan, annual impact reporting, and community engagement programs including employee volunteerism and Community Impact Grants. Warren is widely recognized for his expertise in water efficiency and sustainability and is a frequent speaker and advisor on these critical topics. He earned his Executive Master of Sustainability Leadership from Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Ornamental Horticulture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.

Beyond his professional work, Warren has demonstrated a long-standing commitment to public service and environmental advocacy. He has held numerous leadership roles with industry organizations including the Irrigation Association, U.S. Green Building Council, and the Alliance for Water Efficiency. His local community involvement includes serving on the boards of the Boys & Girls Club of San Marcos, the San Diego North Economic Development Council, and the Cal State San Marcos University Council. Warren brings to the Forever Balboa Park Board a deep passion for sustainability, a collaborative leadership style, and a strong belief in the power of community spaces to inspire stewardship and connection.
